MLM success, Mike Dillard teaches two simple ideas to help us overcome information overload. Mike shared, on a recent video, how he used these two ideas consistently, with discipline, to build his 8-figure, online empire.
1. Mike Dillard Idea One
First of all, realize that it’s normal for anyone who is passionate about their business to want to know as much as they can about building it. We tend to be interested in anything we find on the subject — and there is usually an overwhelming amount. This is actually a phase we all go through as we attempt to master our business.
To build your business using the Internet you need to do these three steps:
Step 1 — Build a list.
Step 2 — Build a relationship with the people on that list.
Step 3 — Provide valuable solutions to your list (which can be an affiliate product, your primary MLM company, or a product or service your primary MLM company offers).
Now in order to achieve this, the first skill you have to develop is generating traffic. When you’re starting it might be nice to get traffic from 10 different sources, but you really only need to focus on one source.
So decide on the source that is most interesting to you, master it, and forget about the rest for now. Get to the point where you know it so well that you could write a book on it. When you know it that well you’ll be getting all the traffic you need.
The second skill you need to master is effective copywriting. This is salesmanship in writing. Now that you have the traffic, it’s important that you build a relationship with the people on your list. You need to develop the ability to persuade them to take action.
It’s being able to write the ad copy, sales letter, or email that gets people to click your ad or fill out your form. You now have the ability to make money, sponsor distributors, or sell your products with the click of a mouse.
Mike suggests, especially if you are starting out, that these are the two skills you really need to focus on developing. He recommends that you shut out everything else until you master one method of traffic generation and effective copywriting.
2. Mike Dillard Idea Two
A second idea that Mike Dillard reviews with us is his daily five. At the end of his day, Mike focuses on the most important results he wants to achieve in his business and then decides what the five things he must do tomorrow are. He types these out and commits to doing these five things. He does these before he checks email, Facebook, Twitter, or anything else.
Mike shares that it’s not how fast you start, it’s how strong you finish that counts. He relates building his 8-figure business to building a house, one brick at a time. Each brick is his daily five must do commitments. Five every day adds up to a lot of results over time.
The single most important thing you can do is to sit down every night and make your daily five. List the top five things you can do tomorrow to move your business forward. Be very specific.
